On February 18, 2026, Pioneer Bank will celebrate 125 years of serving New Mexico. What began in 1901 as the Roswell Building & Loan Association was created to meet a simple need: help local families build homes and help a growing community thrive. That mission still guides us today.
Our original charter, filed under the Territory of New Mexico, reflects the determination of early residents who believed in building something lasting. Over the decades, we expanded, adapted, and embraced new technology, but never drifted from our foundation of trust and service. Pioneer Bank remains one of the oldest banks in New Mexico because our customers have always been our priority, and their growth fuels our own.
