Pioneer Bank is proud to celebrate Leigh Humble, AVP/Internal Auditor, who was honored with the 2025 Community Volunteer Service Award from the Chaves County United Way. The award was presented today by Nicole Austin, Senior Vice President/CLO at Pioneer Bank and United Way Board Member.
Leigh has been part of the Pioneer family since 2004, and while she is quiet in her service, her actions speak volumes. She has earned the Presidential Volunteer Silver Award for four consecutive years, recognizing her commitment of 250–499 volunteer hours annually. Already in 2025, she has logged 246 hours—and we’re certain she doesn’t even record all of them.
Her largest area of service is at UNM Children’s Hospital, where she lovingly creates homemade blankets for newborns and children. Leigh also gives her time to many local organizations, including Roswell Animal Services, Roswell Homeless Coalition, Alzheimer’s Association, Compass Church, Roswell Police Department, Roswell Community Kitchen, Roswell Parks & Recreation, Pecos Valley Dart Association, and even as a host family for the Roswell Invaders Baseball Team.
Juliana Halvorson, Pioneer Bank’s Marketing Director and organizer of Team Pioneer’s volunteer efforts, shared:
“I’ve had the privilege of knowing Leigh Humble for over 10 years, and in all that time she has always given straight from the heart. Leigh is a true community advocate—always volunteering, never complaining, and constantly finding ways to help those in need. She’s one of those rare people you can always count on, no matter what. I’m so grateful for her friendship and for the light she brings to our community.”
Leigh is a shining example of the Team Pioneer spirit—a servant leader who gives freely of her time and talents to make our community stronger. Please join us in congratulating her on this well-deserved recognition!
